Mariann Meier Wang is a founding partner of Cuti Hecker Wang LLP, a litigation boutique focusing on civil rights, criminal defense and commercial litigation.   Ms. Wang has practiced in the area of civil and human rights for approximately 18 years.  She has represented individuals and groups in class and collective actions on a wide range of issues, including for claims arising from police and correctional officer misconduct or abuse, First Amendment retaliation, sexual abuse, racial attacks, and discrimination in employment, education, housing, and public accommodations.    Ms. Wang has served as lead or co-lead trial counsel on a number of matters that went successfully to verdict for her clients in front of juries as well as judges and arbitrators.  Ms. Wang is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia University School of Law, and clerked for Hon. Sterling Johnson, Jr. in the Eastern District of New York.  Prior to founding Cuti Hecker Wang LLP, she was a partner at Emery Celli Brinckerhoff & Abady LLP and also worked at the ACLU, at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, and for an international human rights law group in London.
