Marcello Miller (41) is a federal prosecutor in Brazil. He has been with the Brazilian Federal Prosecution Service for more than ten years.

For most of his time as a federal prosecutor, Marcello has been based in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro and worked in a special unit where he investigates and prosecutes financial crimes and money-laundering. Marcello has served for six years, in three non-consecutive terms, as coordinator of the criminal law enforcement section at the Rio de Janeiro office.

For the past four years Marcello has been one of the members of a nationwide pool of prosecutors attached to the international cooperation unit of the Federal Prosecution Service and has been assigned to a number of missions abroad, including as a Brazilian delegate to the Working Group on Bribery of the OECD.

Marcello now commutes between Rio and Brasilia. In his current assignment in the Brazilian capital he has served as one of the coordinators of the criminal law desk in the office of the Brazilian Prosecutor-General and is now a member of the team of prosecutors assisting the Prosecutor-General in the Petrobras investigation.

Before becoming a federal prosecutor, Marcello had been a state prosecutor in Brasilia and a diplomat with the Brazilian Foreign Ministry. He was admitted to all three positions through competitive exams.

Marcello has a home in Rio de Janeiro with his wife and his younger son.
