Scott Peeler is a Managing Director and head of Stroz Friedberg's Compliance Division. He combines immense compliance expertise with innovative technology to help the firm's clients understand and navigate complex regulatory challenges, like the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act.

Scott joined Stroz Friedberg from Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where he served as a partner in the Commercial Litigation Department and a member of its White Collar Defense, Regulatory Investigations and Litigation group. During his tenure, he led multiple internal investigations and compliance initiatives for some of the largest and most profitable companies in the world. Scott successfully directed multiple Fortune 50, 100 and 500 companies in the tailored development and implementation of anti-corruption compliance programs designed to exceed industry and legal standards.

Scott is considered the author of several "gold-standard" global anti-corruption policies and is highly sought after for his keen insight into risk mitigation strategies. He routinely speaks to executives and thousands of his clients' employees around the globe each year.

Scott is also the designer and creator of unique suite of desktop and mobile applications that help his clients better mitigate their legal exposure from conducting business overseas and in highly-regulated industries.

Scott served as an Assistant District Attorney for New York County under former District Attorney Robert Morgenthau where he prosecuted major felonies, including economic fraud, coercion and narcotics trafficking. He successfully tried numerous state and federal jury trials, garnering vast experience in directing large-scale government investigations and litigation in the areas of bribery, official corruption, health care fraud and abuse, money laundering, anti-counterfeiting, tax violations, commercial bribery, export violations, fraud and securities violations.

Serving on both the New York State Bar Association's and Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals Jonathan Lippman's Wrongful Conviction Task Force, Scott is a tireless advocate fighting to end wrongful convictions in New York State.

Scott, a proud Tar Heel, received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, also from the University of North Carolina.
