As the HSI Newark Victim Assistance Specialist, Ms. Wilson-Bruchet is responsible for the coordination of all victim assistance activities within the office; providing direct assistance to victims, outreach to victim assistance organizations, and training, technical assistance and support to HSI Special Agents. Lynne focuses her efforts on human trafficking and child exploitation cases but is available to assist with all investigations within the Newark office. She lectures frequently on victim-related issues including recent presentations at the International Law Enforcement Academy (Budapest) L’Institut Royal de Police (Morocco), Rutgers University School of Law, Princeton University, the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, Montclair State University, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Advocacy Institute and the 28th, 29t, 30th and 31st International Symposia on Child Abuse. Lynne came to HSI in October 2009 from the Dunham US Army Health Clinic where she was the recipient of the US Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service and the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service. Lynne has 16 years of experience in the field of child abuse and family violence within the non-profit sector, including employment as a child forensic interviewer, a family educator, and child abuse prevention specialist.
