Lynn Simpson, DuPont Legal Knowledge Manager and Six Sigma Master Black Belt

Lynn began her career in 1990 as a litigation paralegal in the law firm of Elzufon, Austin, Reardon, Tarlov & Mondell located in Wilmington, Delaware.   In 1992, she joined DuPont in their Legal Function as a litigation paralegal working on complex product liability and antitrust litigation. In 2004, she began working closely with IT professionals to implement a collaboration tool to be used by inhouse and outside counsel.  This was the beginning of her role in knowledge management.

Currently, Lynn is responsible for maximizing the use of available tools and developing sustainable processes for getting “the right information to the right people at the right time”.  She is involved in the change management aspects of launching new knowledge management and collaboration technology.  This includes work in the design, development, training and communication aspects of new systems. 

In addition to knowledge management, Lynn has been trained as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and is currently responsible for the DuPont Legal Six Sigma program and training.  She is a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute and uses those skills to train and coach legal professionals in project management techniques, tools and procedures.   She is involved in many process improvement and process development activities.
