Work History:  Lisa Hone is the Associate Bureau Chief responsible for privacy issues in the Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) at the Federal Communications Commission.  Ms. Hone is also supervises E-rate work in WCB, including the implementation of the FCC’s two E-rate Modernization Orders.  While at the FCC, Ms. Hone has also served as Deputy Division Chief in the Telecommunications Access Policy Division, legal advisor on Wireline issues to former Commissioner Michael J. Copps, and as special counsel in the Competition Policy Division of WCB.  Prior to joining the staff of the FCC, Ms. Hone spent more than a decade at the Federal Trade Commission where she conducted and supervised federal court litigation and rulemaking proceedings involving a wide array of consumer protection issues, including Internet scams, pyramid schemes, and telemarketing fraud and provided legal and policy guidance on technology policy issues, with a particular focus on consumer protection issues in the mobile marketplace.  While at the FTC, Ms. Hone was also detailed to work for Senator Rockefeller on the oversight and investigations team of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Technology.
