Lisa is a partner of Slaughter and May. She has substantial experience in corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, listings, joint ventures and general commercial work as well as loan and project financing transactions.

Lisa has lectured at the Chinese-EU School of Law at the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and Shanghai and is a member of the Company Law Committee of The Law Society of Hong Kong.  

Lisa is recommended in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2017 for Corporate (including M&A), Banking and Finance, Capital markets (Debt) and Real Estate, in the IFLR 1000 Asia Pacific 2017 for Private Equity  and Banking and Finance, and in Chambers Asia-Pacific 2017 for Corporate/M&A (Hong Kong-based international firms, China).

Lisa read law at Oxford University and is qualified in England and Wales and in Hong Kong. She provides legal services in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).

Her recent experience includes advising:

  • Swire Beverages Holdings on the expansion of its Coca-Cola franchise territories through therealignment of the Coca-Cola bottling system in China, including its master agreement with The Coca-Cola Company and China Foods for such realignment, its successful bid in a PRC state-owned asset auction to acquire certain bottling territories from China Foods and its acquisition of Coca-Cola’s minority interest in Swire Beverages
  • Shangtex on its pre-conditional voluntary general offer to acquire Luen Thai Holdings Limited, a leading OEM garment manufacturer in Asia
  • COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited on:
  • its acquisition of 51% of Noatum Port Holdings, which operates two container terminals in Valencia and Bilbao and two facilitative rail terminals in Madrid and Zaragoza in Spain.
  • its acquisition of China Shipping Ports Development as part of the multi-billion dollar reorganisation of the businesses of the COSCO group and the businesses of the China Shipping group, being the leading companies in the PRC shipping industry
  • its joint acquisition with China Merchants Holdings (International) and China Investment Corporation of approximately 65% of Kumport Terminal in Turkey
  • China Reinsurance on its US$2 billion IPO
  • Zhong An Online P&C Insurance on its first round fundraising
