Linda Diaz, is the Director of the LGBTQ Project at Lawyer's for Children, Inc.. Lawyers for Children is a non-profit law firm providing top-quality legal representation and social work services to over 4,000 children and young people in foster care in New York City every year. For over 20 years, Linda has represented children and youth in their foster care, abuse, neglect, termination of parental rights and custody proceedings.  The  LFC-LGBTQ project focuses on policy and reform efforts to insure that LGBTQ youth in foster care receive LGBT affirming care. She has testified before the New York City Council Commission on LGBTQ Runaway and Homeless Youth and the New York City Council Joint Oversight Hearing on the Administration for Children's Services' LGBTQ Policies. She is a member of the New York City Family Court Advisory Council to the Administrative Judge Committee for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Matters. Her work in the legal community was recently recognized by Hunter College's 100 Puerto Ricans campaign.  She is a graduate of CUNY Law School at Queens College and she clerked at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as a Motions Clerk and a Pro Se clerk.
