Leonard Schneidman is Managing Director at WTAS LLC and has advised in a number of tax areas, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and international transactions. In addition to receiving his law degree from Harvard Law School, Mr. Schneidman received an LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. He has served as the chair of the American Bar Association, Tax Section, Committee on U.S. Activities of Foreign Taxpayers and Tax Treaties and as co-chair of the Task Force on International Tax Reform. In addition, Mr. Schneidman has been listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America, Euromoney Guide to the Leading U.S. Tax Lawyers, and Who’s Who Legal—Corporate Tax. Mr. Schneidman is a frequent lecturer on federal tax issues and the author of U.S. Taxation of Foreign Portfolio Investors: A Practical Guide to Taxation in the U.S. Capital Markets (Boulder Publishers, 2006).
