Laura Beth Miller is one of the leading litigation lawyers in the U.S.  With over two decades of trial and arbitration experience, Ms. Miller has handled substantial first chair responsibilities in both patent and unfair competition cases in federal district court and before the ITC.  As mentioned above, she is one of our most experienced litigation lawyers in NPE cases, and in particular in NPE cases in the E.D. Texas.  She is currently representing several other clients in internet/software patent cases that NPEs brought in the E.D. Texas.  In addition to representing major Fortune 500 companies, she is an adjunct professor at The John Marshall Law School, in Chicago, Illinois, where she teaches Substantive Patent Law.  This nationally recognized program is attended by many SIPO patent examiners and Chinese-based patent attorneys.  She is a frequent speaker on intellectual property issues both in the United States and abroad, and has written a number of articles on intellectual property topics.  She has been named as one of Illinois' leading intellectual property lawyers by Chambers USA, recommended by IAM 1000 for her patent litigation skills and her work before the United States International Trade Commission, and ranked as one of the Top 10 Women Leading Intellectual Property Lawyers in Illinois and one of the Top 50 Women Business Litigation Lawyers in Illinois by the Leading Lawyers Network.
