Intellectual Property and Marketing Counsel
San Francisco, CA, USA

Laura Altieri recently started at Airbnb, in the Intellectual Property and Marketing Group, advising product teams, PR, and marketing through the product development lifecycle, from idea thru launch, on a range of novel compliance issues, as well as on global trademark strategies. She spent the previous 6 years at the E. & J. Gallo Winery, counseling on new product creation, distribution, event sponsorship, advertising, FTC and TTB/state liquor board compliance for about 20 brands, including the world's largest wine brand, Barefoot Cellars.  In both roles she has advised on advertising regulated products in countless sports arenas, concert venues, shopping malls, magazines, retail outlets (wine joke!), social media and online platforms.

Where there's a state and/or federal regulation, she will help find a way!   Before learning to love the law, Laura graduated from UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins (SAIS) and the UC Berkeley Law School. She had a brief stint as a UN economist and as a travel writer. Now her side gig is learning about cannabis law because that is going to be very interesting very soon.
