Kristie Whitehorse joined the Family Violence Law Center in 2011 as the Managing Attorney. FVLC provides a full range of comprehensive and integrated services to survivors of domestic violence in Alameda County. At FVLC, Kristie develops, implements, and oversees all legal program activities and represents clients in domestic violence restraining order cases. She supervises FVLC staff attorneys and legal volunteers and has nine years of experience providing family law services to low income clients and survivors of domestic violence. Previously, Kristie was a Supervising Attorney at the San Francisco Bar Association’s Justice & Diversity Center. At JDC, Kristie provided legal assistance to low-income predominantly monolingual pro per litigants in dissolution and related family law matters. Originally from Southern California, Kristie received her J.D. from UC Berkeley’s School of Law, where she also received her undergraduate degree. Kristie recently served as the chair of the Alameda County Bar Association’s Community Projects Committee.
