Professional and Industry Experience

Based in the DC office of Washington National Tax, Ms. Majure advises clients on inbound and outbound international tax planning and controversy issues, including cash management and deferral planning, withholding, cross-border financing, and multinational structuring.

Kim is an adjunct professor with the Georgetown University Law Center. For the past several years, Kim has taught a mix of international tax classes for Georgetown's L.L.M. program, including an advanced international tax seminar and a cross-border tax controversy workshop. Kim regularly writes and speaks outside of the academic setting as well. She has spoken on "Information Reporting and Cross-Border Withholding" at the Tax Executives Institute Audit & Appeals Seminar (2011 through present), on "International M&A and Structuring" for the International Fiscal Association (February 2011), on "Outbound Cloud Taxation:" for the American Bar Association Tax Section (May 2012) and is a regular panelist for the "Inbound-Outbound Update" session at the George Washington University/Internal Revenue Service Institute on Current Issues in International Taxation (2009 through present). Kim is a current vice-chair of the ABA Tax Section Committee, Foreign Activities of U.S. Taxpayers, chairs an annual international tax seminar series for BNA/CITE (December 2009-present), and is the lead author on an annual periodical, "Select U.S. Federal Income Tax Consequences in European Joint Venture," Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures, & Other Strategic Alliances (2006-present).

Prior to joining KPMG, Ms. Majure was a partner in the D.C. law firm, Miller & Chevalier, where she provided clients with foreign structuring and tax planning services as well as representation in IRS audit and appeals proceedings. Kim has also served as senior manager in the National Office of another Big Four firm.
