Superior Court of California - County of Santa Clara, Family Resources Division
Family Court Settlement Officer
San Jose, CA, USA

Kimberly Parker is the Family Law Settlement Officer for the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara.  Ms. Parker heads this one-of-a-kind program offering alternative dispute resolution services for the allocation and disposition of property in marital dissolution actions.  In some cases Ms. Parker is conferred the same powers and duties as a judge.  Occasionally she sits on the bench as a Judge Pro Tempore.

Ms. Parker graduated from Columbia University School of Law in 1997 and is licensed in both New York and California.  She began her legal career as a business and media attorney working for a major cable news network station in New York City.  She then spent about three years as a transactional licensing attorney in the Palo Alto office of Pillsbury Law.

Although Ms. Parker comes from a diverse legal background, she has practiced law exclusively in the area of family law since 2003.  Since that time she has worked on a special grant providing legal services to deaf survivors of domestic violence, as the Pro Bono Coordinator for the Family Violence Law Center (Oakland), and as a Staff Attorney for the Self-Help Services and Office of the Family Law Facilitator (Alameda County).
