Kenneth J. Anand is a Partner at Ropers Majeski Kohn Bentley.  Mr. Anand concentrates his practice on representing companies, as well as individual entrepreneurs and select executives, on a full range of employment, IP and other business legal matters.

On behalf of employers, Mr. Anand regularly defends federal and state court actions in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and class action suits, and related employment litigation. He also handles administrative proceedings, mediations and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures before the EEOC, NYSDHR, OSHA and other federal and state government agencies. In addition to employment litigation, Mr. Anand regularly advises employers and select executive employees on the design, implementation and application of employment agreements, restrictive covenants, corporate practices, and other policies, handbooks and sensitivity programs, as well as issues arising from employee terminations.

Mr. Anand also advises established businesses, entrepreneurs and creative individuals seeking to develop, protect and defend their intellectual properties. Mr. Anand advises clients on domestic and international trademark issues, copyright and other IP/entertainment contractual matters. As someone with creative endeavors of his own, Mr. Anand is sensitive to the concerns facing artists and other creative businesses.

Mr. Anand has been named among New York’s Super Lawyers for four consecutive years (2011-2014).  He is married with two sons and lives in Chappaqua, NY.  He is an avid screenwriter; owner of a song library which licenses music for film, television, radio and other media; and has produced original compositions for three television shows and an independent film.
