Kelly Funderburk is a Managing Director, Associate General Counsel and lead US commodities counsel for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.  The bank's commodities business, Merrill Lynch Commodities, is a global commodities physical and derivatives business that includes natural gas, power, oil, coal, metals, emissions allowances, commodity indices and weather. Prior to joining Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Ms. Funderburk spent 5 years as in-house counsel for Texaco's petroleum marketing and refining joint venture, Star Enterprise.  In 1997, she joined the in-house legal team of Koch Energy Inc., which in 2001 became Entergy-Koch, LP.  In 2004, Entergy-Koch trading was purchased by Merrill Lynch Commodities, Inc., and then in 2009, as part of the overall merger, MLCI was merged into Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.  Ms. Funderburk's educational background includes a B.B.A from Southern Methodist University; a M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
