Katrina Dewey is Founder and CEO of Lawdragon Inc. a leading digital media company with offices in New York, California and South Carolina. She is also a leading legal journalist who has reported on the law, lawyers and law schools since 1988. In addition to leading Lawdragon Inc., Katrina is the CEO of Lawdragon Campus, an online resource which helps students make a more informed decision when choosing their law school.

Lawdragon Inc., which was founded in 2005, publishes everything from the country’s most exclusive list of lawyers, to reviews of every law school in the U.S. to coverage of the Guantanamo legal proceedings against the alleged 9/11 conspirators as well as interviews with the nation’s leading legal business producers.

She founded Lawdragon Inc. to create a new type of legal media company that would offer free access to news and other articles about lawyers online and provide a greater diversity and breadth of perspective on lawyers than existing legal media. The business model focuses on offering attorneys and other legal professionals enhanced online content to provide free access and generate revenues. The Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America is the most elite lawyer recognition in the U.S. and is published online and in an annual print compendium. Lawdragon also publishes the 100 Leading Legal Consultants, the Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers, and an expanding well-curated array of lawyer guides.

Lawdragon Campus, which was founded in 2011, offers a proprietary search tool through which students can create individualized law school rankings. Lawdragon Campus also offers reviews of law schools and other law school news. The combination of Campus and Lawdragon enables the company to support legal professionals in their communication, marketing and other professional needs throughout the lifecycle of their careers.

Katrina began her career in legal journalism as a reporter for the Los Angeles Daily Journal, where she covered the business of law and learned how to create lawyer lists. She became the Editor of the paper in 1996 and turned it into an award-winning daily paper. She also served as editor of the Daily Journal’s legal publications in Washington, Arizona, Colorado and Nevada.

Katrina is from Gibson City, a town of 3,500 people in Central Illinois. She received her B.S. With honors in Economics from Illinois State University and her J.D from the University of Chicago Law School in 1986.
