Katie Weber, a North Bay Resident, is a 100% Service Connected disabled veteran of the U.S. Army for PTSD from MST (military sexual trauma). She is an advocate for MST survivors and Women Veterans, and Advocates for Military Rape Crisis Center (MRCC) and Protect Our Defenders, two organizations founded to eradicate Military Sexual Trauma. She founded a peer to peer support group for other MST Survivors and has appeared in several news and media stories about the subject. Katie also works closely with Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) to help raise awareness and amend legislation currently requiring military rape victims to initially report the attack to their chain of command instead of law enforcement. Katie also appeared in the new Sundance Audience Award Winning Documentary "The Invisible War".
