Kathryn Neville Browne

As an experienced trial lawyer as well as a trained actor, Kathryn Neville Browne understands the presentation skills required of successful attorneys. Kathryn was an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx at the height of the crack epidemic in the 1980s. She gained extensive courtroom experience prosecuting felony narcotics cases. She subsequently transferred to the Appeals Bureau, where she argued criminal appeals on behalf of New York State. More recently, she has represented survivors of domestic violence through two programs at Pace University Law School: the Pace Women’s Justice Center and the Family Court Legal Program.

Kathryn is also an experienced teacher. As part of her work with the Family Court Legal Program, she supervised law student interns during client interviews, preparation of pleadings, and court appearances. She has worked as an SAT Verbal instructor at several prestigious New York schools, including Horace Mann and the Kent Institute, where she also taught French and English to Korean students. She served as a consultant to Fordham Prep for its Higher Achievement Program. As a private tutor, Kathryn has prepared students for standardized tests (TACHS, SHSAT, ACT, SAT and SAT II).

As a working actor in New York City, Kathryn has performed in a wide range of film and stage productions. Kathryn’s acting work is detailed at her own website, http://www.kathrynnevillebrowne.com. She is a member of Actors Equity Association (AEA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Actors (SAG-AFTRA.)

Kathryn earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1985. She is fluent in French, having studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. Kathryn is admitted to the bar in New York and the District of Columbia.
