Kathleen Slocum, JD, is a senior immigration attorney with five years experience working with the immigration legal needs of trafficking victims, domestic violence victims and asylum seekers. Prior to working at Sanctuary, Ms. Slocum practiced corporate law at the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy, where in addition to representing multi-national corporations in complex financial transactions, she  also worked on a number of asylum cases pro-bono. She was a recipient of Milbank's Pro-Bono Challenge award in recognition of her pro bono legal services.  Ms. Slocum is also a co-founder Restore NYC, a non-profit that provides services to women who want to escape commercial sexual exploitation.  She continues to serve on the advisory board of that organization. Ms. Slocum received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center where she was the managing editor of the Immigration Law Journal.
