Katherine White is an attorney in the Division of Privacy and Identity Protection at the FTC.  Her responsibilities focus primarily on enforcement and policy work in the areas of privacy and data security, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.  She recently completed a yearlong detail to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation where she provided guidance on consumer protection issues.  Before joining the FTC, she practiced information and privacy law at the Transportation Security Administration. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the George Washington University School of Law.
