Katherine A. Burroughs is a partner in the finance and real estate group and the business restructuring and reorganization group. Her practice is focused in the areas of commercial real estate finance and restructuring, securitization, and bankruptcy, and she has represented capital market investors, an international rating agency, and loan servicers and special servicers in securitization, mortgage and mezzanine loan origination, acquisition and restructuring, loan servicing and special servicing, workout, bankruptcy, and foreclosure matters in the U.S., European, and Canadian structured real estate finance markets.

Publications and Lectures
Ms. Burroughs speaks and writes regularly on topics related to structured finance and bankruptcy, and has chaired and participated in numerous national and international industry event panels and seminars. She has been recognized by the American Bankruptcy Institute for her articles and has published the following book chapters: "CMBS Servicing (Europe)," Commercial Mortgage Backed Securitisation - Developments in the European Market; and "Complex Securitized Loans," Mortgage and Asset Backed Securitization Litigation Handbook. Other recent published articles include "Treatment of Mortgage Loan Repurchase Agreements in Bankruptcy" (ABA Real Property Section publication), "Bankruptcy Filings by U.S. Based Foreign Hedge Funds," "Enforceability of Forbearance Agreements in Chapter 11" (New York Law Journal), and "Recent Bankruptcy Cases Impacting Commercial Real Estate Financing and Securitization" (Pratt's Journal of Bankruptcy Law) as well as the following:
