Joyce Kendrick is a graduate of Touro Law School. In addition to her law degree, she has a Master’s Degree in Education and a Minor in Child and Family Studies.  Prior to the commencement of her legal career she worked as a Mental Hygiene Therapy Aid at Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center in Dix Hills, New York and as a Case Manager at Concern for Independent Living in Medford, New York.  She   began her career as a Defense Attorney in the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society in Manhattan in 1996. She joined Brooklyn Defender Services in 1997 as a Staff Attorney.  She currently holds the position of Supervising Attorney at Brooklyn Defender Services.  In 2004, she became the primary attorney responsible for the legal representation of Brooklyn Defender Service clients in Brooklyn Mental Health Court.
