Josh Paul is a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. His responsibilities include following the activities of various professional accounting standard setting bodies both within the United States and internationally, consulting with registrants on complex accounting and reporting matters, and participating in the development of the Commission's and other standard setting bodies' rule proposals. Prior to joining the Commission, he held various positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), including PwC's National Professional Services Group (National Office) and practice offices in San Diego and San Jose, California and London England. Mr. Paul's has served clients primarily in the technology industry on a variety of topics including revenue recognition, share-based compensation, business acquisitions and assisted clients with the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Mr. Paul holds a Bachelor of Accountancy with honors from the University of San Diego. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California.
