Professional and Industry Experience

Jonathan (“J.R.”) is a managing director in the Washington National Tax office of KPMG’s US firm and is based in the firm’s London office. Mr. Neuville’s practice focuses on US and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, repatriation planning, post-transaction integration, corporate tax planning, loss utilization, and consolidated return issues.

Prior to joining KPMG, Mr. Neuville most recently served as an attorney for the Washington, DC, office of the UK law firm Linklaters LLP. Prior to that time, he served as an assistant branch chief with the Office of Associate Chief Counsel (Corporate) at the Internal Revenue Service. In that position, he worked on regulations, revenue rulings, private letter rulings, and technical advice requests relating to corporations and their shareholders

Publications and Speaking Engagements

Mr. Neuville frequently speaks at tax conferences in the US organized by the American Bar Association and Practicing Law Institute. He also lectures and teaches internal continuing professional education courses.
