Jonathan Breckenridge manages the global Prime Brokerage and Clearing Compliance groups within Securities Division Compliance and also has responsibility for Futures Compliance in the US.  

 Jon joined Goldman Sachs in 2000 as vice president in the legal department with responsibility for Prime Brokerage and Securities Lending legal issues. 

 Prior to joining the firm, Jon worked at MarketXT as general counsel and chief compliance officer. Before his position at that firm, Jon was a litigation associate at Clifford Chance, which he joined after serving as staff attorney in the Northeast Regional Office of the US Securities and Exchange Commission. 

Jon earned a BA in History from Allegheny College in 1983 and a JD from New York University School of Law in 1992. He and his wife, Betty, have two sons and live in Brooklyn.
