John Guidroz is a Branch Chief within the Division of Trading and Market’s Office of Trading Practices.  John began his tenure with the SEC in 2004 as a staff attorney in the Broker-Dealer Examination Program in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations.  In 2007, he was promoted to Branch Chief.  In October of 2011, he joined the Division of Trading and Market’s Office of Trading Practices.  He is a recipient of the SEC’s Law and Policy Award (2011 and 2014) and the Chairman’s Award for Excellence (2011).  Prior to joining the Commission, John worked in private practice focusing on criminal defense.  2017 CFA Level III Candidate.
