Joan L. Loizeaux is the Associate General Counsel for Adjudication. In this capacity, Ms. Loizeaux advises the Commission on the resolution of appeals from initial decisions by the Commission's administrative law judges; appeals from disciplinary and other adverse actions by self-regulatory organizations; and appeals from PCAOB disciplinary actions.

Before becoming Associate General Counsel, Ms. Loizeaux served as Principal Assistant General Counsel for Adjudication from 1995 to 2007 and Assistant General Counsel from 1992 to 1995. Ms. Loizeaux received a JD from UCLA School of Law and an AB magna cum laude from Occidental College.
