Jim French is a partner in PwC’s National Professional Services Group, and is based in the San Jose office.  Jim began his career with PwC in 1988 and his other roles include being the Austin Office Managing Partner for 5 years as well as an assurance partner in PwC’s San Jose and San Francisco offices.  Jim has been a contributor to many of PwC's software industry thought leadership documents, including PwC's User-friendly Guide to Software Revenue Recognition and whitepapers such as, "A Shifting Software Revenue Recognition Landscape: Insights on Potential Impacts of IFRS and US GAAP Convergence", and "Software Pricing Trends: How vendors can capitalize on the shift to new  revenue models".

Jim graduated magna cum laude in 1988 from the University of Connecticut with a B.S./B.A. in Accounting.  He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California, Connecticut, and Texas and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs.
