Jessica Haspel is a Senior Policy Associate at Children Now. She joined Children Now in 2013 and focuses on child welfare policy, including health care benefits for current and former foster youth. Previously, Jessica spent seven years representing children and youth in the Illinois child welfare system, working as both a trial and appellate attorney at the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office. She also co-founded Our Community of Illinois, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the needs of foster youth. Additionally, prior to returning to California, Jessica worked as Litigation Counsel for the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. Jessica is a graduate of Stanford Law School.
