Jennifer J. Peet

Ms. Peet is the Contracts and Corporate Governance Officer for the Office of the Oregon Treasurer. The Treasurer and his team manage a portfolio with a market value of more than $65 billion, including the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund ("OPERF").  Ms. Peet's duties span all asset classes and include negotiation and documentation of investments and overseeing OPERF's divestment and securities litigation programs.  She is responsible for developing and managing corporate governance policy for the portfolio and for the Treasurer, in areas including corporate responsibility to ensure long term value for shareholders, regulatory reform, and climate change as it relates to investing.   

Ms. Peet worked in litigation for ten years prior to joining the Oregon Treasurer's office. She earned her law degree from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College, and earned her B.A. in International Studies from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  She is a member of the Oregon and Washington state bar associations, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.  She is a member of the American Bar Association Institutional Investor Committee.  She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and two small children.
