Work History
Jennifer Choe Groves is a partner and the Chair of the International Intellectual Property Rights and Entertainment group at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP.  She has 17 years of legal experience, including over five years with the White House Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) as Senior Director of Intellectual Property and Innovation and Chair of the Special 301 Committee.  In that role, Jennifer led the Administration's annual Special 301 review of worldwide international IPR protection and enforcement, including chairing the government's interagency Special 301 committee and writing the Special 301 Report published in 2005-2009.

Jennifer has led negotiations and implementation of IP Chapters of numerous Free Trade Agreements. In addition, she has regional expertise in international trade and IP matters in the Middle East, Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, the former Soviet Union, and Asia. She has advised clients in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, cellular telephones, automobiles, video technology, motion pictures, music, and media. As a former Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan and a litigator in private practice, she has a strong litigation and enforcement background.

Jennifer received her A.B. from Princeton University, her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, where she was the Editor of Rutgers Law Review, and her L.L.M. from Columbia University School of Law.
