Jeffrey Blivaiss is an attorney with the United States Department of Homeland Security. He started with the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service in September 2002 as an Attorney General Honor Graduate, and he remained with the agency since its transition to the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in March 2003. In December 2010, he was promoted to the position of Senior Attorney, for which his responsibilities include reviewing and editing briefs, advising attorneys on appellate litigation strategy, assisting in the coordination of office-wide legal training, and advising ICE agents on cultural property investigations. 
Mr. Blivaiss is a 1998 graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in political science. He is a 2001 graduate of Seton Hall University's School of Law. He was a semi-finalist in Seton Hall's 2000 Gressman Moot Court competition. He also served on the Law School's interscholastic moot court board from 2000-2001, competing in the 2001 Federal Bar Association's Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C. After his graduation from law school, he clerked in Monmouth County, New Jersey Superior Court, Criminal Division from 2001-2002 for the Honorable Ira Kreizman.
