Jeanne C. Miller, Esq.

Jeanne C. Miller, Esq. is a highly effective mediator and arbitrator with expertise resolving class action, commercial, employment, executive compensation, whistleblower, medical malpractice, civil rights, and securities matters. She has mediated and arbitrated a wide variety of claims between contentious parties since joining JAMS as a full-time neutral in 1993.

  • Class Action: FLSA and Rule 23 class actions for unpaid overtime, public accommodation claim of housing discrimination against AIDS patients, defective medical device claims
  • Commercial: Contract and other types of business disputes including licensing agreement, royalty fees, and post-sale of business breach of contract claims involving various industries
  • Employment: Individual and multi-party claims of discrimination (gender, age, race, national origin, disability), harassment, and whistleblower claims against municipalities and a variety of companies including financial services, pharmaceuticals, retailers, and advertising firms
  • Executive Compensation: Contract claims for pensions, unpaid and underpaid bonuses, and distribution of stock options
  • Financial Services: Claim of failure by banking institution to follow customer investment strategy, claim of failure by bank to properly invest a company pension fund
  • Insurance: Appraisals of damages due under insurance policies
  • Securities: Investor claims against broker-dealers alleging fraud, churning, suitability, breach of fiduciary duty, and lack of authorization; claim by financial institution against former employees for repayment of loans; claim by individual against a member firm for payment of a prior award
