Jean Hanson is a partner in the Corporate and Bankruptcy and Restructuring Departments of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. She has extensive experience in the preparation and filing of public disclosure documents. Among her initial public offerings include Tri-Star Pictures, The Estee Lauder Companies and Abercrombie & Fitch.  She also has extensive experience in debt offerings, consent solicitations, debt exchange offers and merger and acquisition transactions. Ms. Hanson served as the General Counsel to the United States Department of the Treasury in the first Clinton Administration during which she headed the 2,000 lawyer legal department, including  attorneys in the Internal Revenue Service, the Customs Service, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Office of Thrift Supervision, the Secret Service, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the Mint, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, the Bureau of Public Debt, the Financial Management Service and the Federal Law Enforcement Center.

Ms. Hanson is the Chair of the Board of Regents of Concordia College, Bronxville, New York.  She is involved in numerous charitable and fund raising efforts, including InMotion-Justice for All Women and the Village Lutheran Church and Chapel School.  She has received awards and accolades from many organizations, including her various alma maters, and teaches regularly at PLI and law schools which she thoroughly enjoys.

Ms. Hanson received her JD, cum laude, in 1976 from the University of Minnesota Law School.  She received her BA, magna cum laude, in 1971 from Luther College.
