Jassmin is the Director of EBCLC’s Community Economic Justice Clinic, where she focuses on leveraging transactional law and developing policies to further anti-displacement strategies in the East Bay Area. Jassmin is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law, where she specialized in Critical Race Studies and was a part of the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. During law school, Jassmin was awarded the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans to support her work in developing community and worker-owned enterprises to build wealth in low-income communities of color. Currently, Jassmin is an inaugural fellow of the Law 4 Black Lives Legal Innovators Fellowship where she is working to accelerate the impact, scale, reach and depth of movement lawyering in EBCLC.
