Jason Y. Ng

Jason Y. Ng is a capital markets specialist and the regional legal head of Debt Capital Markets at BNP Paribas. He has 17 years of experience in a full range of equity and debt transactions.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas in 2007, Ng was a securities lawyer at the New York and Hong Kong offices of White & Case LLP advising clients on NYSE, Nasdaq and HKEx IPOs, high yield and investment grade bond offerings, global and Euro medium term note programmes, liability management, tender and exchange offers, ‘34 Act reporting obligations, and OFAC, FCPA and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Since 2015, Ng has been an Adjunct Associate Professor in international securities law for the LL.M. program at the University of Hong Kong.

Ng’s interests go beyond securities law. He has delivered guest lectures on Hong Kong’s political development at, among other places, Columbia University, New York University, University of Toronto Law School, Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, the University of Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University. He is an executive member of the Progressive Lawyers Group, an NGO that advocates law reform and defends the rule of law in Hong Kong.

Ng has a J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of Toronto and a joint Finance/Electrical Engineering degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the New York and Massachusetts Bars.
