Jason L. Booth

Jason L. Booth is a partner in the Corporate and Securities practice in the Chicago office of DLA Piper LLP (US), where he concentrates on private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Booth's practice focuses on advising equity sponsors in all aspects of their various investment activities, including structuring, negotiating and executing portfolio company acquisitions, debt and equity financings and liquidity events. He also regularly advises companies and their boards of directors on general corporate and governance matters, including SEC reporting requirements. Mr. Booth represents clients across a wide spectrum of business sectors, including the food & beverage, chemicals, agriculture and manufacturing industries.

Through DLA Piper, Mr. Booth is active in a number of philanthropic and pro bono initiatives, particularly the firm's Advancing Education's Promise pro bono project, which is dedicated to improving educational opportunities by providing legal and community service support to students, families, schools, communities and education-related nonprofits. Prior to joining DLA Piper, Mr. Booth was a partner at a multinational law firm in Chicago.

Mr. Booth received his J.D. degree cum laude in 1998 from Harvard Law School. He graduated summa cum laude from Bradley University in 1995 with a B.S. degree in History and Political Science.
