Jim Cotton, a member of the ASUS Executive Team, is Senior Vice President and Procurement Officer for American States Utility Services, Inc., a subsidiary of American States Water Company. His accomplished management career reflects 20 years’ experience in operational leadership, procurement and supplier operations and sourcing, crisis management, talent management, and organizational development in highly decentralized organizations. He has a proven record of managing contracts of various types with varied budgets within the public and private sectors; implemented such while supervising multi-disciplined teams with record of stream-lining operations, developing and implementing organizational solutions, and applying overall human resources expertise to impact accomplishment of strategic goals and maximizing shareholder earnings and meeting customer expectations.
