Jacqueline Sherman was appointed the Associate Commissioner for the Office of Youth and Family Development at the Administration for Children's Services in fall of 2012. In her current role, Ms. Sherman has overseen implementation of New York City's new juvenile justice placement system, beginning with non-secure placement in fall 2012 and planning for the implementation of limited secure placement in fall 2013. From spring of 2012 until her appointment as Associate Commissioner, Ms. Sherman worked at ACS as the Senior Advisor for Juvenile Justice Services. Ms. Sherman has extensive experience in local government and non-profit services; she is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School.
