Jacob H. Stillman

Jacob H. Stillman joined the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission in the General Counsel’s  Office in 1962 and has served in that office since that time.  He supervised most of the Commission’s appellate litigation from 1978 until 2015, having been the Commission’s Solicitor for 17 years until 2015.  He is now the Senior Advisor to the Solicitor.

Mr. Stillman graduated from Harvard Law School.  Before joining the SEC staff, he clerked for Judge Harry E. Kalodner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
