Jack Newton is the Director of Public Benefits & LGBTQ Advocacy at Bronx Legal Services. Jack co-authored the chapter entitled, "Public Assistance and Housing: Navigating Difficult Benefits Systems," in the Lawyer's Manual on Domestic Violence: Representing the Victim (6th ed., 2014). Prior to joining LSNYC, Jack worked at The Legal Aid Society in family, immigration, benefits, and housing matters. He was a member of the FEPS litigation team and counsel in Pena v. Doar and Velez v. Roberts. Jack earned his law degree from the University of Texas and a Master's of Social Work from Columbia University.
