Kelly Hoey is a strategic advisor to companies and firms on networking, voluntary communities (such as corporate alumni and Women's Initiatives) and business relationship development strategies.

Kelly Hoey is VP, Community Engagement for Shift Worldwide. Kelly works with Shift Worldwide's clients to build community or increase engagement of online communities. Shift Worldwide is a full-service virtual events production company that provides a customizable communications platform and combines it with a suite of production services to help clients produce online panel discussions, leadership meetings and conferences. www.shiftworldwide.com

Kelly is also working with Hypatia Capital, a Private Equity Firm whose deal sourcing strategy focuses entirely on the top female executives of Fortune 1000 companies and SSA & Company, a global process improvement consulting firm.  She has consulted with an AmLaw 100 firm on its alumni relations initiative and provided strategic advisory services to an AmLaw 200 firm on women's initiative programming.

From October 2009 to October 2010, Kelly was a full-time consultant to 85 Broads, a global networking group of 20,000+ professional women (www.85broads.com) where she was a strategic advisor to Janet Hanson, CEO and Founder of 85 Broads. For 85 Broads, Kelly focused on "conventional" as well as innovative ways to strategically connect and promote members of the global online network with each other as well as with influencers, media and potential members. The hats she has put on included "chief connections officer, interactive creative director, social networking curator, business network development strategist & corporate relationship officer".

Prior to her entrepreneurial leap, Kelly was immersed in law firm management, building out alumni and professional development functions at White & Case. Kelly was Manager of Alumni Programmes from 2008-2009.  In this global role, she was responsible for designing and implementing the firm's alumni outreach and engagement strategy. From 2004 to 2008, Kelly was the Manager of Professional Development, Americas, overseeing and initiating a number of talent development initiatives for the firm, ranging from new/lateral associate integration, upward review and annual performance review process, business and client skills development training, trial advocacy curriculum, Women's Initiative programming and retreats, and the introduction of coaching and coaching-based programming. 

Kelly is a corporate attorney. She is a graduate of The University of British Columbia Law School. Kelly articled in Ontario, Canada and is admitted to the New York State Bar as well as to The Law Society of Upper Canada and Law Society of British Columbia.

Kelly is vice-chair of the Board of inMotion (inmotiononline.org) a New York City based not-for-profit which provides legal assistance to women and children in domestic crisis.  She is on the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) National Advisory Board and is WILEF East Co-Chair. She is a member of the Honorary Advisory Board for Pace Law School's New Direction Program.
