Judge Waldor was appointed to the bench on July 25, 2011 as a United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey. Prior to that appointment Judge Waldor practiced law for 35 years, specializing in Federal and State criminal trial litigation before being appointed to the bench in July 2011. Her practice encompassed a balance between white collar and violent crimes including trial of several death penalty cases. She was also involved in various complex civil cases.

Judge Waldor is a past president of the NJ Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, past chair of the Women’s Section of the State Bar; and served on the Supreme Court Committee on Professional Ethics for many years. She has been recognized by the State Bar Foundation with the Award for Professionalism; Best Lawyers in America; and Best Lawyers in New Jersey.

Her bar associations have included the Federal Bar Association; American Bar Association of which she is a fellow; New Jersey State Bar Association; National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey and local county bar associations.
