During his 27 year career at Cadbury Schweppes, Todd Stitzer transformed the company into the world’s largest pure play confectionery company. This process included 41 acquisitions with a value of $9.2 billion and 18 disposals, including the demerger of a major beverage company Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Inc., generating over $19bn of shareowner value.

An alumnus of Harvard College and Columbia Law School, Mr. Stitzer instituted a “performance driven-values led” culture at the company that consistently delivered top quartile commercial and financial performance and achieved broad based recognition for ethical business conduct. He co-led the defense against a hostile takeover by Kraft Foods resulting in a 50% premium to shareholders. He retired from the company in April 2010 following its purchase by Kraft.

Mr. Stitzer is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of Signet Jewelers Ltd., the largest specialty retail jeweler in the US and UK and serves on the board of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (“MassMutual”), a Fortune 100 financial services company. Having joined the MassMutual Board in April 2011, he is currently the Chair of the Audit Committee since April 2015 and a member of the Executive and Investment Committees.

Mr. Stitzer sits on the Advisory Board of Hamlin Capital Management, LLC, a New York based investment advisory firm with funds of over $2.7 billion under management. He also sits on the Board of Trustees of Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the New Britain Museum of American Art in New Britain, Connecticut, and is a Trustee of the New Britain YMCA. Mr. Stitzer previously served on the board of Diageo plc, the world’s largest spirits company from 2004 – 2013 and was an advisor to the Branson Family and Virgin Group Holdings, an international private equity group with investments in transportation, financial services, media and fitness sectors.
