Gregory J. Kerwin is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Denver. He handles complex commercial disputes in trial and appellate courts with emphasis on securities, antitrust, and business tort and contract disputes. He has served as lead or second chair in approximately twenty jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations, and has argued and briefed many cases in the Colorado appellate courts, Tenth Circuit, and Ninth Circuit, and trial courts in seventeen other states in addition to Colorado. His education includes a J.D., magna cum laude, from the Duke University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Colorado College. He served as a law clerk for Judge James K. Logan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is the author of chapters on appellate standards of review and preparing certiorari petitions in Anne Whalen Gill’s Colorado Appellate Law and Practice (West 2d ed. 2007) and has co-chaired seminars on Colorado appellate practice. He currently serves as President of the Tenth Circuit Historical Society. Mr. Kerwin is among an elite group of lawyers across the country named to the 2006 BTI Client Service All-Stars list by 200 corporate counsel at large and Fortune 1,000 companies for delivering the best client service to their clients. He is also currently ranked in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading litigation lawyer.
