Grace Hoppin is a Senior Associate in the San Francisco office of Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP, specializing in corporate immigration.   Ms. Hoppin works on both immigrant and nonimmigrant matters for corporate clients, and she has extensive experience working with the biotech, engineering, and IT industries.  Ms. Hoppin has a unique background in labor certification, as she previously worked for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) as a labor certification specialist. While at DOL, Ms. Hoppin was selected to serve on a national DOL team that drafted the PERM regulations, which included review of all comments submitted in response to the proposed rule, drafting responses to comments, and preparing recommendation papers for DOL management. 

Ms. Hoppin has served on the American Immigration Lawyers Association's (AILA) Department of Labor Liaison Committee since 2009, and currently serves as Chair. Ms. Hoppin has been a frequent speaker at AILA conferences at both the national and regional level, and has also made presentations at the San Francisco HR Star Conference, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the Practicing Legal Institute.  Prior to joining BAL, Ms. Hoppin practiced immigration with several firms, including two well-known boutique immigration firms, and a large full service immigration firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.
