Experience

More than 20 years of experience in litigating commercial cases before Austrian courts and international as well as domestic arbitral tribunals. Listed as arbitrator on various panels, including the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC), the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (FTCA), and the Court of International Commercial Arbitration at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and Bucharest.

Chairman, sole arbitrator, party appointed arbitrator, expert witness, as well as counsel in more than hundred and fifty ad hoc and administered arbitration proceedings, including proceedings under the Vienna Rules (VIAC), ICC Rules of Arbitration, UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, Rules of the Arbitration Court of the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic, as well as ICSID arbitration proceedings.

Co-editor of the Austrian Yearbook on International Arbitration, Member of the Editorial Board of the Ukrainian ADR Journal and Austrian Correspondent for the Romanian Arbitration Journal.
Recent cases include counsel of Claimant in investment arbitrations against Romania and Bulgaria, representation of the Government of Montenegro in ICSID arbitration proceedings, various gas and energy related litigations and arbitrations, including the representation of a South-East European Government against a foreign investor and the appointment as Chairman and party appointed arbitrator in arbitrations concerning construction disputes, the energy business, Post M&A Disputes, and foreign investment disputes.
