Garry Kitchen is a well respected industry consultant and President/CEO of AppStar Games, a startup digital publishing company focused on downloadable game apps. His career in interactive entertainment spans 30 years, starting as a pioneer in the video game industry in the late '70's. From 1981-1995, Kitchen was an industry leader in the development of console video games, generating over $300 million in sales with such hit titles as Donkey Kong (home version) and The Simpsons. In 1995, with the founding of Skyworks, Kitchen applied his gaming expertise to online marketing, launching the innovative Candystand.com, hailed by experts as the premier example of brand-sponsored gaming, or Advergaming. Skyworks went on to supply advergames to world-class brands, including Nabisco, Pepsi, BMW, and Ford.  In 2008, under Kitchen's leadership, Skyworks expanded its focus to the emerging downloadable games market, establishing itself as a leading supplier on the iPhone App Store. In addition to his work in video games, Garry has extensive experience as an expert witness in the areas of copyrights, patents, software and hardware development and video game business issues.
