Gabriel A. Fuentes

Gabriel A. Fuentes is a litigator and trial lawyer. He counsels clients in the areas of white collar defense and investigations, antitrust litigation and media and first amendment issues. He draws on a varied background including time as a federal prosecutor and professional journalist.

In 2010, Hispanic Business Magazine named Mr. Fuentes among their "100 Influentials" and Illinois Super Lawyers recognized him in the area of Criminal Defense: White Collar. He is a member of the Firm's White Collar Defense and Investigations, Antitrust Litigation, and Media and First Amendment Practices. In 2001, Mr. Fuentes left Jenner & Block to work in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Chicago. He returned to the Firm's partnership in 2006.

Mr. Fuentes co-chairs the Firm's Pro Bono Committee and maintains an active pro bono practice, with a concentration in the First Amendment and federal criminal matters. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Council of Lawyers since 2007 and currently serves as President. Mr. Fuentes is a member of the adjunct faculty of the Northwestern University School of Law's Introduction to Trial Advocacy program and serves as an informal advisor to the Student Press Law Center. He also serves on the boards of the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS), Cook County's legal aid hotline.
